JFS Photography

I focus on taking photos that capture a feeling of wonder, tranquility, radiance, lightness, and hope. I was a painter for many years before I was a photographer, which I think has helped me find a unique style. Working as a fied biologist for many years, has allowed me to live and photograph many remote places across the west that are rarely seen. I currently make my home in the Central Sierra, near Yosemite National Park.
