Happy Earth Day from our Rock Steady Boxers! 🌍🌱
Today we celebrated in a fun way; by getting our hands a little dirty and our creativity flowing! Our athletes worked on fine motor skills by decorating pots and planting something they can continue to care for and watch grow.
At Innovative Growth, our name is more than just words, it’s what we strive for every single day. Just like the plants we started today, growth takes time, patience, and consistent effort.
These plants are a small symbol of the incredible growth our Rock Steady Boxers are making every day; stronger hands, sharper skills, and more confidence with each class! We’re so proud of how far they’ve come and excited to keep growing together. 💚
THE SECRET IS OUT!!! 🎉
It’s hard to put into words what this moment means to us…
We are officially planting roots and building something we once only dreamed about; a space designed entirely for our clients.
To think that we get the opportunity to create a building from the ground up, intentionally tailored to the needs of the people we serve every day… it’s truly incredible. Every wall, every room, every detail will exist for a purpose; to support progress, independence, and confidence.
This will be more than just a building. It will be a place where journeys continue, where challenges are met with support, and where every client has the space they need to grow.
Under one roof, we’ll have two dedicated spaces. One for our specialized exercise therapy, continuing the one-on-one care that means so much to us along with our groups and exercise sensory gym and another for our movement disorder program, including a brand-new gym where we can expand therapy and bring Rock Steady Boxing to life in a whole new way.
But more than anything… this will be a home.
A home where everyone who walks through the doors feels seen, supported, and valued.
A home where differences are embraced, progress is celebrated, and no one feels like they have to do it alone.
This is something we don’t take for granted. It’s a reflection of every client, every family, and every moment that has brought us here.
We are building more than a space… we are building a home for possibility, for progress, and for every single person who becomes part of it.
And we cannot wait to welcome you in.
More details and timing of the project coming in the future, but we can start getting excited! 🤩
Today’s class was all about beating your own personal record! Punch-a-thon addition!! ♥️🥊

April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month and just like many other conditions, awareness is important.
But awareness alone isn’t enough.
At Innovative Growth, we believe awareness must lead to understanding, compassion, and action.
Because too often, individuals living with Parkinson’s are misunderstood in everyday situations.
Imagine this:
A police officer approaches someone who seems confused, slow to respond, and has noticeable tremors. It may be easy to assume impairment but what if they have Parkinson’s?
Someone in a store is taking longer to pay, struggling with fine motor movements, or speaking very softly. It may look like hesitation but what if they have Parkinson’s?
A person walking through a parking lot has a shuffled gait, struggles to initiate movement, or suddenly “freezes” in place. It may seem unusual but what if they have Parkinson’s?
Someone’s facial expressions may appear flat, or their body language may seem withdrawn. It may be misunderstood as disinterest but what if they have Parkinson’s?
A person may have difficulty getting up from a chair, turning, or keeping their balance. It may be judged as weakness but what if they are fighting a neurological condition every single day?
These are just a few examples. There are countless situations where Parkinson’s symptoms can be misinterpreted and where judgment can be replaced with understanding.
Because Parkinson’s doesn’t just affect movement, it affects how someone experiences and navigates the world.
So what can we do?
We can slow down.
We can be patient.
We can offer help instead of assumptions.
We can lead with empathy.
And we can also talk about something incredibly important:
Exercise is essential. Exercise is medicine.
While there is currently no cure for Parkinson’s disease, exercise is one of the most powerful tools individuals have to fight back.
Daily, intentional movement can help improve mobility and balance, reduce stiffness and rigidity, support strength and coordination, and enhance overall quality of life.
More importantly, it gives individuals a way to actively push back against a disease that challenges them every single day.
At Innovative Growth, this is at the core of what we do.
This month, let’s continue to raise awareness but let’s go further.
Let’s choose understanding over judgment.
Let’s choose patience over assumptions.
Let’s choose to support those who are fighting battles we may not fully see.
And let’s remember:
Movement matters.
Effort matters.
People living with Parkinson’s are not defined by their diagnosis; they are defined by their resilience. 🥊🥊🥊🔥
