Hagar is a trained LCC K-9 Comfort Dog at Faith Lutheran Church in Appleton, Wisconsin. She interacts with people at churches, schools, nursing homes, hospitals, events, and in disaster response situations. Hagar is a friend who brings a calming influence and allows people to open up their hearts and receive help for what is affecting them.

This is what love looks like. Have I mentioned how much I love my job? I get to spend one-on-one time with humans spreading comfort.

Recently my team and I visited Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley. We spent time with students in small groups. They told me about their pets at home, asked me questions about my work, and even read books to me. I don't know how to read, so I always enjoy being read aloud to.
