We believe in working collaboratively & proactively with the City of Appleton, community organizations, local farmers and local citizens to promote urban chickens. We believe that backyard chickens make wonderful pets, produce healthy sustainable food, and are a positive addition to neighborhoods.

Do you have a coop but no chickens at the moment, and would you like to take care of two sweet* chickens for four months this spring/summer? A local family will be out of town for work and is hoping to find someone who could take care of these ladies. They’ll pay for feed, bedding, etc. and you can enjoy the eggs! One chicken is a white leghorn, and the other is a black Australorp (see photo). If interested, please comment below and they’ll respond to you via private message. Thanks!
(*The Australorp is territorial and doesn't do well with other chickens besides her coop buddy, which is why they’re not looking to temporarily combine flocks. Both hens love hanging out with humans, though.)

if you live in Menasha and want to legalize urban chickens there, please follow the “Menasha Flocks Together” page.

Menasha Flocks Together Menasha allows chickens. Menasha Flocks Together worked hard to change the ordinance!!!
