This Day in Marine Corps History!

On December 15, 1948, then-Secretary of the Navy John L. Sullivan signed a "Memorandum of Agreement" with the State Department. This memorandum laid the groundwork for the establishment of the modern Marine Security Guard program at U.S. embassies throughout the world.

Good Luck to Robert Houston a graduate from Appleton North High School as he embarks to Marine Corps recruit training today! Robert will be going through 13 weeks of rigorous training over at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego to earn the title of United Stares Marine !
