We often think about movement in terms of our outward appearance — exercising to improve or maintain how we look on the outside. But some of the most profound effects are happening internally — in the brain and nervous system, influencing hormones and metabolism, and the future quality of your life.
More than aesthetics, strength training is an investment in your energy, emotional wellbeing, cognitive health, metabolic function, independence, resilience, and longevity. The muscle you build now becomes part of the foundation that supports how you age, move, think, and function for decades to come.

Your body was made to move.
Movement is one of the ways your body was designed to function, adapt, and thrive. When you move, blood gets pumping, joints get nourishment, muscles get stronger, your nervous system gets valuable input, and energy often follows.
Movement is not a light suggestion in your care plan, it is a requirement for your healing.

Finally! Flowers are blooming and things are turning green. We are getting a little taste of spring here in Appleton, Wisconsin🌸🌷 For some though, this also means the start of itchy eyes, sinus pressure, and nonstop sneezing.
Did you know that the status of your gut likely has something to do with how you experience seasonal allergies? About 70% of your immune system lives in your gut. It’s constantly monitoring what comes through, distinguishing between what’s part of you, what’s harmful, and what’s harmless (like pollen).
When your gut is healthy your immune system responds appropriately. But when your gut is imbalanced (hello, dysbiosis), your body is already in a heightened inflammatory state. So when pollen shows up, your immune system overreacts, which can look like:
🌸 Congestion, sinus pressure, hives
🌸 Sneezing, runny nose, itchy/watery eyes
🌸 Symptoms feel more intense and persistent as a result of heightened overall inflammation
So what can you do about it? Start by supporting your gut:
🌸 Eat a variety of whole, fiber-rich foods to feeds the beneficial bacteria in the gut
🌸 Add in fermented foods (yogurt, sauerkraut, kefir) to help replenish and diversify your microbiome
🌸 Consider targeted probiotic support through supplementation
🌸 Reduce inflammatory inputs like processed foods, excess sugar, alcohol, and poor sleep
Curious if your gut could be playing a role in your allergies? Send a DM or schedule a nutrition consult to get started 🤍
