There are a lot of times our clients have something in their closet or we find something that looks, shall we say, "old lady"?
What makes something "old ladyesque" you ask?
👵🏽 It could be the fabric used
👵🏽 The pattern
👵🏽 Or the style
But sometimes we bring it to life and modernize it - It's what you pair with it!
Prime example is this dress Brenda, one of our soon-to-be Personal Stylists, found at ! You can't really tell in the photo, but she has it pinned up to give it more body + the fabric was a little outdated. This is why she paired it with combat boots to give it a street chic, edgy vibe instead - and to make it feel more like her 💕
Do you have an old lady (or man) piece in your closet?
...and LOOK amazing doing it!
If you have a big meeting this week, have a big life event this week, or anything that requires you to be a bit more elevated than normal, here are some tips no matter who you are:
▪︎Play with 1-2 colors
▪︎Play with at least 1 texture
▪︎Layer using 1-2 pieces
▪︎Add accessories - neck scarf, pocket square, headband, jewelry, tie, etc.)
▪︎And don't forget the grooming - add gel in your hair, whiten teeth, add a lip 💄, moisturizer so you look a little more awake and refreshed, wear some eye masks in the morning, and ladies, do something different with your hair even if it is taking a pretty berrette and pulling back 1 side of your hair!
•CHALLENGE: Wear a fun shoe whatever that means to you! It could be a contrasting color, matching color, pattern, or just an overall statement shoe ✨️
