Is it safe to store items in cold weather?
Yes, the majority of household items can be safely stored even during the coldest of Minnesota weather. Most all of your belongings are shipped in non climate controlled boxcars, semis and cargo ships and can safey be stored in temperatures well below freezing. Just be certain that when bringing items in from storage that they are allowed to climatize to indoor temperatures before being put into service. This is especially important with electronics, just be sure that the interior temperature of any electronic device matches the ambient temperature of the room before being plugged in and turned on. This can be done by simply allowing the item to sit for a period of no less than twenty four hours after being brought inside.
