Root Barrier Installation in Ocoee for a long time client.

They discovered that their pool deck had lifted about an eighth of an inch from the tiles and decided the culprit was the neighboring Cypress tree. Client wanted to explore solutions. Removal was one option, but the tree was gifted from a deceased relative and holds a lot of sentimental value.

The alternative was a Root Barrier installation. The root barrier is made of 24’ interlocking poly plates. When the roots hit it they spin off to the side.

We removed the existing hedges and carefully dug out a two foot deep trench. Making sure to get clean cuts on any woody roots as we went down. The largest root we found on this one was about 4 inches in a 30 foot span.

After backfilling the hole, we applied a growth regulator to help the tree with nutrient uptake after the damage to the root zone. Tree gets to stay and client gets to protect their pool. Win Win 🥇 🌳 🏊
