Hooked on Hope

As recently reported, Hooked on Hope, Inc. is dissolving as a Florida Non-Profit Organization. This week, a check in the amount of $25,000 was presented to the Breast Cancer Foundation of Central Florida (https://www.bcfcf.org/). This organization was selected as it mirrors the funding priorities Hooked on Hope, Inc. adhered to for its 16 years in existence.

In the upcoming weeks, the Hooked on Hope, Inc. website and Facebook accounts will close - but our hearts will always be open to the many years of unwavering support from the Tampa Bay Communities. Feel free to post a message, a photo, or a memory to this FB Account now, we will be archiving so we always have memories of you.

Today is another day of 'hope' in the Tampa Bay Breast Cancer Communities! Hooked on Hope paid June and July rent for Niecy W! Niecy, only 52, has Stage 4 breast cancer. This beautiful photo is Niecy ringing the bell at Moffitt Cancer Center after completing her radiation therapy. She continues to be in treatment at Moffitt for the long haul.............. a simple 'thank you' will never be enough for the support of our generous communities and donors! Hooked on Hope wishes all the moms a very Happy Mothers Day! Over the past year or so, we have connected with very young breast cancer patients with small children, many of whom are single mommies. I am a single mom myself with a beautiful grown son and simply can't imagine being diagnosed with breast cancer with a young child! You are brave, you are strong, you are warriors! Today is another blessed day for a Hooked on Hope patient! Say hi to beautiful Jessica M. This photo was taken today which is Day #1 of her chemotherapy. Because of the recent donation from TECO, Hooked on Hope paid Jessica's May rent! Jessica and her partner have 3 young children and have gone from a two income household to one.
