Above All Else

Scripture and Devotion for Today.

Joshua 1:9 "I command you -- be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

During your life together as a husband and wife or as a single, God will take you to unexpected places. You'll experience new jobs, move to different homes, and meet new people. You'll face challenges and tough questions that make you really think. When things change, you might want to go back to what you know. But when God is leading you, you have to be brave and face the future.

Where is God taking you today?

What things are making you scared or unsure?

Why do you feel like you're not good enough for what's coming?

What do you imagine could go wrong?

Stop worrying and trust that God is in charge. He promises to be with you every step of the way. God is protecting you. He knows everything that will happen, so nothing will surprise Him. He will use everything for your benefit because He loves you. So be strong and brave!

A prayer you can say.
My Heavenly Father, you're leading us down unfamiliar roads. Give us confidence in your presence so we're set free from fear. Give us courage to follow you every step of the way.
