We have raised chickens, rabbits, ducks, and even quail for years. In fact, we even operated a worm farm where we grew red wigglers for vermicomposting. But it was not until 2016 that we moved to our current location in Chatham county, NC. We carved out our little piece of heaven here, the only thing we can complain about is our terrible Internet. We have an awesome flock of layer chickens who free range around our property. Those lovely girls provide our family with fresh eggs. We also have 4 Palm turkeys who march around our property gobbling and calling out to guests. Our rabbits are mainly here for a source of garden fertilizer and building the soil. And we have a few dogs....a house dog and our livestock guardian, Zeke (he rocks). He has been protecting our animals for a few years now.
