WELCOME TO CHARTERS ON THE CHAIN! We hope to provide an enjoyable, safe and memorable outing on the water for your group no matter the occasion.

THIS IS WHERE IT ALL STARTED (photo below is from Capt. Dan and Capt. Jack completing their USCG Master Captain class)

Meet Captains Dan and Jack Shaughnessy. Both USCG Master Captains and Chain O Lakes locals. Dan, a full-time fireman, grew up on Petite lake. Being on the water multiple days a week, he felt there was a whole group of people missing the chance to get on the water.....our visitors without access to a boat! Now, there is an option for everyone! He hopes to provide an amazing experience by immersing his guests in our local environment, whether it be on a historical tour, birding tour, lunch tour or just a barhopping tour, you'll feel like a local when you book a trip with him! Jack, who grew up on Lake Marie and Nephew to Dan is a junior at the University of North Dakota studying Aviation. Jack also has his private pilot license and is working towards his goal of becoming a commercial pilot after college. Jack looks forward to meeting new people to the Chain and showing them his home base whenever he can.

We would also like to Thank everyone who has supported us thus far, our season is short here and it has taken A LOT of work to get to this point. It's time we support the hardworking, licensed Captains that have done the work to provide a legal, safe option for our visitors.
