Curmudgeon Books is a community bookstore covering a variety of subjects including children's books, fiction, science fiction, comics, audio-books, DVDs, music CDs and vinyl records. The store's largest section is history, both American and World, with large sections covering the Civil War and WWII. used bookshop in a small mall and now has grown to its current 8,000 sq. expanded location at Marle
We’re settling in to the Annapolis Mall store. People / patrons / guests everyday introduce themselves as those who remember us at our previous location. And we’re making new friends as well.
Today was box day, boxes and boxes of books came in from Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster, Source Books, Schiffer Publishing and others. They feel like presents as we open them up.
Chadwick the Crab got restocked, as well as Maryland board books, stuff animals and some Pokémon book. Disney books, Cat in the Hat titles as well as more Grinch. Classics like Poe, Winnie the Pooh, Fahrenheit 451, Cloudy with a chance of meat balls, and more.
We’re open and thank you to everyone who’s visited so far.

Lost and now found. We’ve installed our local author section. I didn’t realize we had so many local authors represented. The books are cool and across the board in themes and ideas. For us, supporting local authors is part of our mandate. Don’t get me wrong there are many that do not meet the qualification list, but those that do find a good home at Curmudgeon Books.
So we survived a holiday, our first in Annapolis, most people don’t realize we carry greeting cards for fathers, graduation and birthdays.
For that matter, many people have been reintroducing themselves that were patrons at Marley. We loved being at Marley Station but we had to move on for many reasons.
For the people who are just getting to know the quirky side of Curmudgeon Books, welcome to a family of readers and people who like to own their music and movies.
Opened a bin of book-sets today, on Churchill, Teddy Roosevelt, and a bunch of books by Bill O’Reilly on Witches and another title on the S.S. and such. Plus more new stuff is coming in from publishers. We also received two sets of Harry Potter books with British covers.
A bunch of kids books on Dog Man, Wings of Fire - novels, Rick Riordan and Magic Tree House titles also came in today.
