Tate Remade

This is one week away from drywall. I am trying to process that it’s taken Dean and me 1.5 years to get to this point. I can’t wait to make this our home. I can’t wait to spend time on other things. I can’t wait to be with Evan over hours working on the house. This has been a labor of love and while worth it, so very very hard. Cheers to the turning of a page!

Oh hey end of May. 😅 Time keeps ticking away as we attempt to find balance between holding space for life and building our home. We are suuuuuppperrrr close to finishing up some final odds and ends over at the Hickory House and we can move into getting through our rough inspections. We have spent months living our normal lives and dreaming up this space, putting in all the hours we can. I’m feeling very thankful for right where we are. 🥹 this is what things are looking like today.

Just a good old fashioned Insta post. Nothing fancy here. Writing to say we have a big hole in the side of our house and it’s going to let in the best afternoon light. Tonight was the first one for the books! 🌅

Oh it feels so good to be making a house feel like our home. But it truly does take time. I thought this room was going to be a living room, then we changed it to a formal dining room, and thennn it hit me that I could put an oversized antique buffet in the room, off center the cafe table, and make the space feel like a cozy pub. This has been such a good starting point for the rest of the house.
