We don't just record video; we create visual experiences.
Screwing and unscrewing threaded filters mid-shoot is just asking to miss a shot, especially for live events. But I also didn’t want to drop money on a whole second set of magnetic filters - especially when I love my NiSi filters so much.
These brass adapters from let you turn any threaded filters you already own into a magnetic quick-swap system that’s perfect if you run and gun like me.
Now, if you want to save money on glass:
1. Stop buying filters sized to match each lens
2. Buy your NDs and diffusion filters in 82/95mm only
3. Use cheap step-up rings to adapt them down to whatever lens you’re on, then add the magnetic adapter on top
One filter set, every lens, on and off in half a second.
Link to the setup is in my bio.
DaVinci Resolve resolves problems 🛠️
I used to think shooting in log was hard, overly technical, and pointless. It just turns out Adobe just punishes you for it.
If nodes have been intimidating for you, here’s a 5-minute grade that’s just enough to clean up the image and make the colors look exactly how they did in real life on the day, plus slightly richer and more cinematic.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the standard of wedding filmmaking and honestly, trying to squeeze a couple’s entire story into a standard 5-12 minute highlight film is starting to feel too confining.
A wedding isn’t just a single afternoon on a strict hourly clock. It’s a whole multi-month timeline. It’s all the chaos, the late-night laughs, the tears, and the genuine drama that happens in the months leading up to the day—the stressful dress shopping trips, the vendor and venue decisions, the wild energy of the bachelor and bachelorette parties, and the quiet family milestones before the big day.
I haven’t fully figured out the way to create what I’m aiming towards yet—but I’m getting closer. Imagine a micro-series that captures all the planning, drama, and emotions leading up to the big day.
What’ve you been working on? 🎬👇
Walter White spent two years risking his life, dodging the cartel, and destroying his family to build a multi-million-dollar m**h empire... just for a content creator to out-earn his entire life’s work by posting short-form videos.
The internet economy makes absolutely no sense, but it proves one thing: you don’t even need a business to be doing this. You could literally just be making money by talking into your phone about whatever you’re already interested in. Cars, tech, cooking, whatever. You don’t need a massive production crew, expensive cameras, or a fancy studio anymore. You literally just need the phone that’s already in your hand and a willingness to hit record. If you aren’t putting yourself out there online, you’re just leaving opportunity on the table.
What do you think—is the creator economy completely broken, or is it just the easiest time in history to make a living doing what you love ? 👇

Building a business solo takes a lot more than you might realize.
Building systems from scratch, staying on top of leads, emails, contracts, timelines, and upgrading gear one piece at a time.
Some days I think none of it is paying off. Most days I look up from my timeline and realize… wait, this is actually working.
I’ve had to learn what really goes into a project so I can charge accordingly. Everyone sees the shooting and the editing, but there’s also the outreach, the back and forth, months of planning, wear and tear on equipment, and paying yourself on top of all of it.
But looking back even a year, the progress is obvious.
More projects.
Better storytelling.
And more clients recommending me again and again.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned so far is that momentum comes from consistently learning and sticking with it. Not just the technical side, but learning positioning and systems that actually keep the business alive.
Curious how many other people here are building som**hing of their own right now.
