I couldn't imagine a more fulfilling way to spend my holiday weekend than cutting firewood for a cause. An 85-year-old retired US Marine, unable to prepare his firewood supply this year due to illness, inspired us to take action. We not only ensured his current supply but also secured next year's, living life with purpose and compassion.

I am filled with immense gratitude for all the heartwarming birthday wishes for my father and me. I had a fantastic time with Pa, and the celebration concluded with a minor setback, as I had to replace two trailer tires and rebuild an axle hub on the side of the road in northern Saginaw County. Despite the unexpected turn of events, I remain thankful for the love and support I received on my special day.
