EMBRace (Engaging, Managing, and Bonding through Race) is a research program at the University of Michigan with the primary goal of reducing stress among Black families by helping parents and adolescents address difficult topics through race-related dialogue, a technique widely known as racial socialization. Our families participate in 8 sessions and learn about topics like cultural pride, discrimination, and stress management.
