Three Mistakes I’m Not Making in 2026.
1) Only doing local or local-ish events. It’s great to cater to your local audience but to grow and get some new eyes on your business, it’s important to travel to new locations. I applied to a handful of out-of-state events this year and only got into one. But I’m so happy to go somewhere new and meet some potential new customers and wholesalers.
2) Offering something exclusive for your customers. If you can’t travel that’s okay because you can create something special just for the folks at that specific events or market.
3) Not experimenting with your offerings. It’s great to have your staple items but once your customer buy them, then what? You need to keep the offering fresh and exciting. This one is a bit of an upfront cost but can be so worth it.
I’m working on a brand new product for this summer and I’m excited to bring you along for the journey. If all goes well, I’ll have them with me at SDCC this July and online as well. Any guesses??
What do you mean my art was used by a politician based in Georgia without my permission for their socials? The lore is going to be good!
Update: She did in fact apologize and pay the invoice for usage for the art she used on socials.
Art prints have always been a bit of a challenge for me to offer. The colors never looked right and the idea or buying a professional printer gave me a headache.
Enter . They are hands down the most affordable print shop I’ve worked with. Not only that but the prints are stunning quality. Luma Prints offers a wide selection of prints and I tried out almost all the options for this review.
If you’re considering prints for your next convention or in your shop, give them a try.
