We have been talking about food a lot these past few days, more so than usual. You have made many thousands of comments about your excitement for the new dinning room menu.

And each week I read great comments about the current food in the dinning room, the Steakhouse, Emeril’s Bistro, Ji Ji Asian Kitchen, Cuccina Del Capitano, Bonsai Sushi and Teppanyaki, Il Viaggio, Rudy;s Seafood Grill, Pig and Anchor, ChiBang plus of course the massive choices we offer on Lido deck. And while there have been some comments that have had a dollop of criticism I think it is safe to say that the food we offer you on your cruise is excellent.

You know, I often talk about our dinning rooms and highlight the atmosphere, the service, the vibe. The food was only one reason to be there. It was more about having a fun night out than purely a dining experience.

But perhaps I was wrong to do that and I should have written more about the food itself. You know, if I could and I would love to share with you what our Culinary Team have as there per person per day food budget to spend. I can’t, obviously but if I did I think most of you would be gob smacked at what that Dollar figure is.

The reason I am writing this is to do some bragging. You see, the prestigious Points Guy has given her vote to the best ship’s for food choices.

There are 6 ships that he has given the award to.

There is nothing for the seas and yet along with some higher priced cruise lines there is Carnival Cruise Line, the most affordable cruise line and yet, well have a read for yourself and perhaps if you can let’s all tip our hat to the Chefs and wish them congratulations.
