Back at the Gatekeeper's House!

We're taking a closer look at the north side of the house, which was in particularly rough shape. In addition to installing new stucco and siding, our team carefully restored one of the original windows, which had been completely compromised.

Transforming this family home one stair at a time ✨

To maximize the house's functionality, we completely reimagined the layout at the Brom Court Home Remodel by relocating and redesigning the staircases, which created space for a new entryway and room to expand the primary suite.

Originally built in the late 1800s, the main staircase was quite steep and narrow. To accommodate the new stairway design and location off the dining room, we framed a second-floor dormer. We also widened the staircase and adjusted the riser height to ensure the new structure was code-compliant. Then, to compact the staircase in the home's existing dining room, we built two quarter landings flanked by three new windows.

The result is a showstopping stairwell in the heart of the home.
