This slightly oversized crocheted pillow cover started as a cozy idea—and turned into something even more special.

My son had one simple request: “Can you make a pillow for the dog?” Not just any pillow, but something soft & comfortable for his furry friend to sprawl out on during lazy afternoons.

So I grabbed my yarn and hook and got to work. The result? A handmade pillow cover that’s just a touch bigger than standard size—perfect for those dramatic dog naps.

Made with love, soft yarn, and a lot of dog hair already woven in (let’s be honest), it’s more than a pillow. It’s a little patch of peace that lives on the floor, where my son and his dog can meet in a pile of limbs and tail wags.

Sometimes, the most unexpected requests make the coziest projects. 🧡
