Congrats to the grads! Seniors in attendance at the AerE Pre-Commencement Reception pose for the traditional group photo in the Howe atrium. We wish all our fall graduates the best in their future endeavors and know they will represent our department, the ISU College of Engineering, and Iowa State University well! Forever Cyclones!

They were "blasting off again" in the AER E 1600 Lighter Than Air fall semester Fly-Off! With Pokemon as the design theme, 45 teams hit the launch pads in an evening of flying their lighter than air remote controlled craft, with the aid of helium-filled balloons, through the famous obstacle course in the Howe atrium. When it was over, the Grubbin team emerged as the champion (see the team featured in a separate post). Congratulations to all who supported this great end-of-semester event. AerE communication specialist John Burnett-Larkins handled live announcing duties while KURE radio supplied the live music and fall graduating seniors watched the action from their own special viewing area.
