Set in the early 1900s in New England, Daddy Long Legs is the vivid account of Jerusha, a young orphan -- as she blossoms into a strong, intelligent, and vivacious woman. One day, a rich, anonymous benefactor decides to send her to college, but she must write him a letter once a month. She invents a nickname for him after seeing his elongated shadow: Daddy Long Legs
