On October 29th, 1969, researchers at UCLA and Stanford worked together to send the two letters “lo” from a computer on UCLA’s campus to a computer at Stanford 350 miles way. While the researchers were attempting to transmit the word “login,” before the system crashed, the moment marks a mementous moment in internet history.
