From humble beginnings as a convenience store nearly 25 years ago to opening two full-service dining establishments now located along the I-40 corridor in Amarillo, Texas. It all began when Jose and Patricia Murguia started selling tacos and tortas for extra money from the store they owned on Grand Street. From there, they added a front porch, opened the restaurant, and aptly named it El Tejavan,

The holidays are here and we’re gearing up to close. Come get your fix while you can. We’ll be open until December 23 and will reopen on January 2!
