Join in the fall fun at the Downtown Alton Chili Cook-Off, to be held on Sunday, October 19th from Noon until 3:00!

This year’s event will be held at FLOCK Food Truck Park & Bar, located at 210 Ridge Street. Local chefs, both amateur and professional, will match their favorite recipe with others in similar categories. Judges will award $100 prizes to winners in 4 categories: Individual, Organization, Business and Restaurant. There’s also a $100 prize for the best decorated booth! The team voted as “People’s Choice” will receive the coveted silver ladle and bragging rights. Enjoy live music from Number 4 Combo! Tickets will be available at the door, $10 for adults and $5 for kids. Funds raised will support our ongoing efforts to improve and promote historic Downtown Alton.

♻️ Downtown Alton Recycling Reminder ♻️

The recycling dumpster in downtown Alton is available for community use!

If the dumpster is full, please do not leave items on the ground. Leaving recyclables or other debris outside the container is considered littering or open dumping and subject to code citations and possibly fines. Instead, please hang on to your items until the dumpster has been emptied.
