Four days.

More than $10,000 raised for Open Door Animal Sanctuary, Stray Rescue of St. Louis, and St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center in memory of El Monstero superfan Ralph Morse.

I know the economy is tough right now. I don't know many people who would say they're having a great year financially. That's what makes this even more incredible. So many of you have dug deep to help these animals and the people who dedicate their lives to saving them every single day.

When this started, I joked that if everyone gave 50 cents, we'd be doing great. Instead, you've shown up with hundreds of smaller donations and some unbelievably generous larger ones. It's been one of the most humbling things I've ever been part of.

And we're not done yet.

We still have a week until the El Monstero show, where our shelter friends will be there accepting donations in person.

Also, this total doesn't yet include the $300 our friend Paul from Tofu Band is donating from his July 18 show. If you get a chance, go see him at TofuBand.com and tip him well.

Mark from El Monstero threw out a challenge: double last year's total of about $12,000. That means a goal of $24,000.

A few days ago, I would have said that was impossible.

Now? After what you've already done... I'm not so sure.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO EL MONSTERO for leading the charge and getting behind this fundraiser, and to the incredible community we've built together. This is another reminder that El Monstero and St. Louis are about so much more than music and fans. It's about people showing up for one another, taking care of those who need it most, and proving once again what an incredibly generous city this is.

I'm incredibly humbled to be the voice you spend your mornings with and to be part of this amazing community.
