75 weeks came and went, and well, life goes on. Thanks to Ken, there were bananas. He always has bananas!

You know he was gone for a Saturday, and there was a giant hole where he normally stands at the booth. Not one person didn’t notice because Ken is a guy you can count on, even in the rain. On Fridays, he goes to Smart & Final looking for the best bananas. If they aren’t there, he hits the next spot, and so on. He knows that if you spend just a little bit more time, you can get closer to perfection, the perfect bite of banana.

He’s done that in his metal shaping business for years, and he’s starting his classes back up soon. Stop by and chat him up about it one Saturday.

More than anything, I hope he can teach you the art of spending just a little more time on things or time for others or, better yet, more time on yourself.

RECIPE OF THE DAY

Elotes (Mexican Street Corn)
🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽
🔸️Ingredients
• Canola oil, for grill grates
• 1/4 cup mayonnaise
• 1/4 cup sour cream
• 1 small clove garlic, pressed
• 1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
• 1/2 tsp. chili powder
• Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
• 8 ears fresh corn, husks removed
• 1/3 cup finely crumbled Cotija cheese
• Chili-lime seasoning (such as Tajin) and chopped fresh cilantro, for garnish

🔸️Directions
• Step 1) Heat grill to medium. Once hot, clean and oil grill grates. Stir together mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic, lime juice, and chili powder in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
• Step 2 ) Grill corn, turning frequently, until lightly charred, 5 to 7 minutes. Brush with mayonnaise. mixture and sprinkle with cheese, dividing evenly. Garnish with chili-lime seasoning and cilantro.
