22 veterans per day take their own lives. As the previous decade of wars draws down and America’s military and veteran’s slip from the front pages it is more important than ever that we remember them, their sacrifice and the burdens they carry. With your help we can increase awareness to this epidemic and as we implement a support network for veterans in crisis to turn to those who know them best - other veterans.

I am choosing to be vulnerable today. Sometimes I forget or overlook celebrating the wins and the awards, and I move on to the next empowerment workshop and the next veteran, family, or community member needing a listening heart with non-judgment and compassion, cultivating a solution together for what they need. Whether it’s a lunch, a workshop, or connecting to healthcare and financial resources, that is my focus.

Today, I celebrate and also hope you can contribute to saving the lives of veterans, their families, and the community that uplifts them.

In July, Women Veterans Empowered & Thriving needs funding for our upcoming, ongoing, free to veterans and their families, 8 empowerment workshops a month. This is part-time employment for military veteran facilitators, and the evidence-based, life-saving reintegration program WVE&T provides every month, 8 times a month.

Isolation leads to su***de, addiction, depression, incarceration, and disconnection. Supporting veterans is an action, an action of contribution. Please contribute below so we can continue our life-saving program, our program that provides more than surviving; it is the path to thrive.
