Task Force Breaks

What started as a simple idea has now become something we are absolutely proud to have begun.

As of their most recent deployment to Wisconsin, the Disaster Task Force, through the Task Force Breaks progam, has now given away more than 12,000 sports and non-sports trading cards to kids in communities affected by disasters across the country.

Every card handed out is more than just a card. It’s a smile. It's a distraction. It's an ice breaker for kids in evacuations shelters to introduce themselves as they compare, trade and discuss their cards.

More than anything, it's a reminder that somebody showed up.

None of this happens without the support of our growing community, our donors, and those who support this program.

As the Task Force loads this morning to pre-deploy to The Plains (they'll be staging near Wichita, Kansas), we have given them thousands of sports cards of the teams most popular in the areas most likely to be impacted.

This is their 11th deployment of 2026!

In addition to the non-sports cards we also give them to take, we're sending them with more than 2 dozen Cooper DeJean rookie cards, since he's from Iowa. Some show him wearing his University of Iowa uniform.
