DAY 19: OFFER ASSISTANCE, DON'T FORCE IT

Offering help is a kind gesture. Forcing help is not.

People with disabilities are the best judges of what assistance they need and when they need it.

❌ Don't grab, pull, or assist someone without asking.

❌ Don't insist on helping after they've declined.

❌ Don't assume you know what's best.

✅ Ask first: "Would you like any assistance?"

✅ Respect their answer.

✅ Be willing to help, but don't take control.

True support empowers people—it doesn't override their choices.

DAY 17: DON'T ASK INTRUSIVE MEDICAL QUESTIONS

Curiosity is natural, but not every question needs to be asked.

A person's medical history, diagnosis, or disability is personal information, and they are not obligated to share it.

❌ Don't ask, "What's wrong with you?"

❌ Don't demand details about someone's condition.

❌ Don't assume you're entitled to their personal story.

✅ Respect boundaries.

✅ Let people share what they're comfortable sharing.

✅ Focus on the person, not their diagnosis.

Remember: having a disability does not make someone's private medical information public.

Respect starts with respecting privacy.
