National Ice Cream Day is Sunday, July 19, but the Allen Public Library is celebrating early!

This Friday, July 17, at 2:30 p.m., you can try several new and weird ice cream flavors in Meeting Rooms A & B!

From Lonestar Blast Sherbet, Grasshopper Ice Cream to Pickle Chamoy Sherbet, let us know which ones you like and which ones make you say yuck!

If you haven't turned in your log yet, don't worry! You still have until Friday, July 31 to submit your completed log for a prize (while supplies last). Adults can return their finished log for an entry to one of five prize baskets. Winners will be drawn and contacted Monday, Aug. 3.

The Library will be closed Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.

When you stop by the Library, be sure to browse the beautiful art selections provided by the Visual Arts League of Allen (VALA)! 🖌️

The Allen Public Library has partnered with VALA to showcase 18 pieces of art inspired by our summer reading theme, Unearth a Story. These works of art will be on display until Sunday, Aug. 30, so you can enjoy the art all summer long. Afterward, we will have a new exhibit with a new theme!

We are proud to provide a space for local artists to share and celebrate their talents. You can find the art gallery inside the Library near the Checkout Desk.
