Healing the Inner Child ✨
Some adults are the way they are because they’re still carrying wounds from their inner child.
• The people-pleaser is often the child who felt love had to be earned.
• The angry adult may be the child who never felt safe being heard.
• The one who struggles to trust was once betrayed or neglected.
• The perfectionist may be the child who was told they weren’t enough.
• The emotionally distant adult may be the child who was shamed for expressing feelings.
Behind every behavior is a story. Healing begins when we stop judging ourselves (and others) only for the symptoms and start tending to the root.
💡 Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is pause and ask yourself: What is my inner child still asking for?
💭 “There is no shame when you recognize it yourself that you are struggling with mental health.”
In fact, that moment of recognition? That’s strength.
It’s brave to say:
• “I’m not okay.”
• “I need help.”
• “I can’t do this on my own right now.”
Acknowledging your struggle is the first step toward healing.
Shame doesn’t live here. Just grace, growth, and gentle reminders that you are not alone.
