My journey to becoming a registered dietitian has been filled with challenges and growth, and I am endlessly grateful for all of the patients and mentors along the way that have shaped me into the person I am today.๐ฉ๐ปโโ๏ธ
After earning my Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science from Pepperdine University, I jumped straight into the next phase of my education, beginning my Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics at Texas Womanโs University. While completing my graduate coursework, I have been gaining experience in a variety of settings through my dietetic internship.ย ๐
At UT Southwestern, I witnessed the intricacies of food service management and learned about the systems that keep healthcare nutrition operations running smoothly.๐ฅ
My time at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center strengthened my skills in delivering personalized medical nutrition therapy for patients with a variety of diagnoses.ย โค๏ธโ๐ฉน
One of the most transformative parts of my internship has been working with Maria-Paula at LifeCycle Nutrition. Over the past couple of weeks I have been able to explore the nutrition care process across a wide range of chronic conditions. Whether it be managing tube feedings, supporting picky eaters, guiding weight loss journeys, or helping clients with food allergies thrive in their daily lives, it is undeniable that nutrition plays a pivotal role in everyoneโs life.ย
As I continue on the path to becoming a registered dietitian, Iโll carry with me the valuable knowledge and skills that each rotation has instilled in me.๐
