Hope2HOPE15
It has been HOPE Prodigal Ministry’s privilege to once again share 90 days with you, praying and believing for our beloved prodigals. Please be sure to share the wonderful news when your prayers are answered. We want to celebrate with you!
Day 90
I BELIEVE
For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7
Prayer moves the hand that moves the World. E. M. Bounds
We must always believe our prayers will make a profound difference for good in our beloved prodigals lives. God gave them to us and He chose us for them. To be counted by God as responsible to intercede for their souls is a privilege.
Is it too far fetched to believe God strategically trusted them to us not just while they were our precious young children who were cute and much more lovable, but also as teenagers and adults? This may be true for grandchildren and spouses who were specifically placed, as well.
Our role does not stop at a certain age. Wrestling in prayer for their eternal salvation is the most powerful role we will fulfill in their and most likely, our lives. What a responsibility resting on our shoulders.
The Hebrew word for hope is tikvah (תִּקְוָה), which conveys a sense of expectation and is deeply rooted in faith. It symbolizes a strong assurance of a desired outcome, often associated with God's promises. Bible Promises/Search Assist
We have hope! As we pray, God leads, instructs, and orders our steps. We walk by faith believing, not by sight.
Day 88
Always There
Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen Matthew 28:20 KJV
It may be hard to believe but our loving Father draws our beloved prodigals close even in their worse state. His hand guides them. His right hand holds them fast. Psalm 139:10 Thank You, Lord!
He will never override their will, but He is always close. How comforting is this blessed assurance. His watchful eye is upon them for they are His. ‘Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus.’ Louisa M. R. Stead 1882
How far reaching is the marvelous love of Jesus! Our loved ones are never alone. If we doubt this or if we are a natural born worriers, we find comfort in, “If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.” Psalms 138:8
No matter where they go, or what they do, God is always there with them. We may not be with them however One who is greater is! What a loving God; One who can always be counted on to be faithful.
Day 86
Strength To Love
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Romans 8:35 KJV
God is love, therefore if His Spirit lives in us, we should be free to love. That is how it would seem to be however the human element in us must be dealt with daily, especially when we are being tested.
If we are honest, at times we don’t feel the love we want to feel for our beloved prodigals. We need the strength of Jesus to love. To love the way Jesus loves requires His grace. We set aside our feelings and agendas, and take on the character of Christ.
And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.” Colossians 3:14
Perfectness .. (Greek) .. teleiótēs .. the state of completeness mentally or morally .. the state of the more intelligent, moral and spiritual perfection or maturity
In our situations, through prayer, Jesus will give us the Spirit of Perfectness when we seek Him for strength to love perfectly or maturely. This is overcoming, His way.
