Day 3 brought the kind of energy that reminds you why this conference matters!

Yesterday was packed with conversations that went straight to the heart of today’s biggest public safety challenges, from leadership and officer wellness to jail operations, emerging technology, election security, drones, and more. The exhibit hall kept the momentum going with agencies, partners, and industry leaders connecting throughout the day.

A major highlight was the NSA Awards Lunch, which opened with remarks from FBI Director Kash Patel and celebrated the law enforcement professionals whose service, courage, and commitment continue to raise the standard for the profession.

Day 1 of the 2026 NSA Annual Conference came in strong!

The conference officially kicked off Monday, June 8, with a packed General Session featuring a fireside chat with DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin and NSA President Sheriff Chris West. From there, Laura Cole and Sheriff Pat Labat brought the room into a powerful conversation on communicating with clarity, credibility, and humanity when the stakes are highest.

Throughout the day, attendees also filled seminar rooms for timely conversations on leadership, jail operations, school safety, digital forensics, recruitment and retention, AI, reentry, drone operations, and so much more!

And of course, the energy carried right into the Welcome Reception and the grand opening of the Exhibit Hall! From the latest public safety tools and technology to meaningful conversations with exhibitors, partners, and sheriffs from across the country, the hall was buzzing from the moment the doors opened.

What a way to start the week in Omaha!
