One of the biggest questions patients have after a tummy tuck is about the scar.
Right now, the scar on this patient is still early in the healing process, so it’s more noticeable. Over time, scars typically continue to fade, soften, and mature over the course of several months to a year or more. Scar healing is a process, and patience is a big part of it. We also offer additional scar treatment options to help improve redness, texture, and overall appearance as healing progresses!

One thing patients don’t always think about before a tummy tuck? Tattoos. 👀
In this case, a large portion of her stomach tattoo was actually removed during surgery, along with the excess skin. And because the belly button was repositioned as part of the procedure, the remaining tattoo may appear to have shifted positions.
The good news is that if you end up with a partially altered tattoo after surgery, we do offer laser tattoo removal options right here in the office as well! ⚡️
