Supporting Future Aviation Leaders:
Leidos Helps Expand ATCA’s Scholarship Program

Alexandria, Va. –ATCA is proud to announce that Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) has become the premier benefactor of the ATCA Scholarship Fund. As part of this donation, ATCA is also launching a new scholarship: the ATCA/Leidos Scholarship for Aviation Innovation–bringing the total number of ATCA-administered scholarships to five.

Leidos has committed $75,000 over the next three years to support the ATCA Scholarship Fund, including the new ATCA/Leidos award. The scholarship will recognize students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a passion for advancing the future of aviation.

“We thank Leidos for their support in advancing the future of aviation,” said Stephen Creamer, ATCA President & CEO. “Part of ATCA’s mission is to provide education opportunities for our members and their families. This contribution to the ATCA Scholarship Program will allow more students to enter the aviation field to help close the gap of unfilled jobs across the aviation industry.”

The ATCA Scholarship program was established in 1983, awarding its first scholarship to a single recipient. Since then, and thanks to the generous support of donors and partners, ATCA has awarded nearly $1.5 million to students pursuing degrees related to air traffic control and aviation. Annual scholarship awards range from $5,000 to $15,000 per student.

“Leidos is proud to support ATCA’s Scholarship Fund with this three-year commitment to help develop the next generation of air traffic management professionals,” said Liz Porter, Leidos Health & Civil Sector president. “This contribution reflects our dedication to strengthening the aviation workforce and supporting students who will lead the future of flight.”
