Desiderata Equine

Now for the Bub update.
After 2 years of knee issues, arthritis and just getting old. We decided to try a different route .
Bub was struggling with movement on his front end. Tried all the RX stuff with a heavy price and toll on the old man. So I started him on some pretty powerful herbal stuff and WOW! He was able for the first time in 2 years to get a full trim. Knees bent and able to go on the stand. We have an amazing farrier Stephen who is always patient with him.Witch makes him priceless to us. At almost 30 he is still happy. Still loving his attention and can get up and down. Many days I contemplated the horrible day that I would not see his beautiful face again. I am glad that is pushed back for a minute. Many people have said the cost is to great. And at times it was impossible. But we will continue to fight for my freind of a lifetime.
We love him and am so very blessed to of had him in our lives and many of yours.

The weather here is amazing today. Weird but amazing.
Already 80 and going up. Even with our morning rain the ground was great for turnout. Amazing how sandy soil can do that. After black gumbo for 10 years it is a true blessing.

Missing you all. Hoping everyone has a blessed and safe holiday season. The horses all send their love as well and the Donkeys.They all still get excited when cars pull up. Thank goodness the mail lady/UPS enjoys them . 😆 They all still throw on their Schoolmaster pose whenever kids come to visit. Landslide still comes barreling in when the farriers daughter comes . He never behaves better than when she is here.
Mr.Bubbles has been on herbal treatments for his uvitis and he is much improved. Not perfect but much less swelling and the destruction of his left eye has stopped.
Jewel is still under treatment but holding her own. Retirement suits her well. Romeo is forever 2 even at 12. For all of you who check in thank you. The best gifts is knowing you have fond memories.

A great loss today. Larry Riggs a amazing horseman and better freind has passed on. Larry contributed so much to the Frisian and Black Forest (Schwarzwälder ) breed it is impossible to imagine life without Larry. I am so very blessed to of known him and grown from his knowledge and kindness. "Romeo" his last Black forest foal is with us . I broke the news to him over peppermint's as Larry requested. A few noteworthy quotes from my freind.
