Stay safe this summer by taking a few simple precautions:

🧢 Wear light clothing and stay in the shade.
☀️ Avoid direct sun during the hottest hours.
🧴 Use sunscreen when outdoors.
👨‍👩‍👧 Check on children, older adults, and pets.

There will be an extreme heatwave coming through this week, with temps reaching over 100 degrees. New Providence Presbyterian Church (703 West Broadway Ave) is opening a cooling shelter between 12-6 pm on Monday, June 29th through Thursday, July 2nd for those without access to air conditioning.

If you're able to donate items, such as fans, electrolytes, cooling towels, etc, donations can be dropped off at the United Way office between 8am-5pm, Mon-Wed, and 8am-12pm on Thursday.
