Not every cooling technology that uses liquid is considered liquid cooling ❄️

A solution only qualifies as liquid cooling when the first loop of heat transfer from IT equipment is performed by a liquid. Rear door heat exchangers, for example, still rely on air to remove heat from equipment first, making them an air cooled solution despite having liquid running through them.

As liquid cooling adoption grows, understanding the distinction is key to making informed infrastructure decisions 🏢

AI spending is expected to slow in 2026 as organizations shift focus toward governance, ROI, and operational efficiency.

For data centers, that means renewed attention on the fundamentals: airflow management, PUE, and making the most of existing infrastructure ⚙️

Before building the AI enterprise, organizations want confidence that a solid data center foundation is in place.

Containment remains one of the most effective ways to improve cooling efficiency and reduce hot air recirculation ❄️

But full containment isn't always feasible in retrofit environments. Partial containment, single-row layouts, and rear-door heat exchangers can all deliver many of the same benefits without a full infrastructure overhaul.
