This means poets who compete and place at Lobo Slam can gain points to qualify for both making the CUPSI team as well as the ABQ city team. Only poets who are students and faculty at UNM or CNM are eligible for making the college team who will represent UNM at the College Union Poetry Slam Invitational taking place in the spring. NOTE: Poets who place at Lobo Slam shows after the CUPSI team is chosen will still gain points in qualifying for the ABQ City team. NOTE: Lobo Slam is ran Fall semester to Spring semester. We go dark in the Summer. Official qualifying seasons are:
CUPSI: October - February: The college team is picked in February and will head to CUPSI in March. ABQ CITY TEAM QUALIFICATION FOR LOBO SLAM: October - April: The ABQ city team is picked in April.
