Part 3, 4 and 5 Music and Crime

Lancaster started selling music illegally to local advertising agencies and businesses and unfortunately Sound Studio was his operations center.
I started loosing accounts and stepped in to call his bluff and reported him to major labels, RIAA and music license companies like BMI and ASCAP.
John Lancaster called me from Sound Studio and said, in a condensed form, that I was messing with the "wrong f@%$k" guy and that I get out of f@%$k way or he would f@%$k kill me!

Part 4
In a talk with Warner Brothers Record, about one their songs I reported he was claiming, they told me that John Lancaster was an alias name and he was an extremely violent criminal and that I should stay completely out of the matter. I then got regular visits from the FBI and New Mexico Crime Commission to inform me on matters and was told I should take Lancaster's threats as serious! I installed video monitoring and was very careful for the next year of my life.
I found out that not only was he a music thief that he was doing major business at the flea markets and having confrontations with other criminal gangs for flea market control involving stolen goods and weapon sales!

Part 5
I found out in time that the heat was on for law enforcement to get him so he moved his madness to Colorado!
The bad players in this story are dead and gone. But the memory and stress of that terrible time, lives in my mind....

In the mid 70's I adopted a male puppy Doberman. I named him Justice. I was concerned about burglary protection. He was amazingly smart and became very protective at home and at the recording studio! I then became worried that a studio burglary would put Justice in danger.
So I mostly left him at my home with the adopted 2 year old female, Tara:-) Many stories about my Doberman friends! Great memories...
