Had a great first day at the Lands End International Hill Climb. Only swapped one axle upfront that had a torn boot. We got an awesome crew again this year helping out. Day two starts soon!

Great start to the race season with Rio Grande Region SCCA !

We’re getting all packed up for the Lands End International Hill Climb! Mother Nature is currently challenging our devotion with a sudden thunderstorm. Bring it!

We’ve been experiencing bad hesitation in the upper RPMs lately so we went to work to troubleshoot the problem with the help of Dmrally. We started with checking fuel pressure and found it was a whopping 80psi! Removing vacuum on the regulator did not change the fuel pressure. Next we disconnected the return hose to the fuel tank and ran it into a pan to see if there was a block in the line. Pressure immediately dropped into the high 30s, which is exactly where we want it.

Further troubleshooting of the return line to the fuel tank found that after applying high air pressure through it (other end disconnected from tank) that we had chunks of dirt stuck in there! A picture of the paper towel shows the brown crud that blew through. We put a new fuel filter in and the engine is running great now.

We’re heading to Colorado Hill Climb Association’s Land’s End event next weekend so look forward to further updates!
