More than 1,000 students visited our facility this year to get a behind-the-scenes look at what happens to Albuquerque’s trash and recycling—and to learn how they can make a difference in their own communities.

Through our Trash in the Class program, students get hands-on experience exploring how the City of Albuquerque manages waste and recycling while building lifelong habits that help keep our city clean and beautiful. From recycling right and understanding what goes where to becoming leaders in litter prevention and environmental stewardship, these students are helping create a stronger Albuquerque for the future.
