Did you know that straw bales are an excellent and cost-effective insulator? Harvesting the edible components of hay creates straw waste. Baling straw gives new life to this simple resource and produces a high-quality building material. Walls constructed from bale hay are 18" thick, which is expensive to achieve in conventional construction.
