Fun in the garden!

We took advantage of the nice weather and planted potatoes today. Gardening is a great activity for toddlers. As the plants grow children develop a sense of purpose and responsibility.

In addition, studies show that when children have contact with soil during activities like digging and planting, they have improved moods, better learning experiences, and decreased anxiety.

Directions for planting potatoes are in the photos. I hope you can get your little one out in the dirt too.
