"I joined roller derby because I felt like a team sport would help me find a community that was supportive, but could push me more than I could push myself. I've learned so much about myself and found that I can do things I never thought I would be able to, and my wife and I have made such incredible friendships and community through this sport and this league. My wife does not play but loves to volunteer at bouts and engage in the community by cheering us on."
