Hello, faithful customers
*** Starting May 12, 2025, DMV will no longer accept paper Medical Examiner’s Certificates (MEC).
FMCSA will electronically transmit your MEC information to your Oregon DMV driver record. ***

What this means is you can no longer take or email your card to the DMV. It has to be transmitted from the federal motor carriers. This will likely take some additional time. Please plan accordingly and Keep track of your expiration dates.

No communication of this change was communicated to medical examiners because we are not responsible for submission to the States. This Is and Always has been the responsibility of the drivers.

Just today a driver call stuck with an expired CDL. The CDL physical was completed in March, but likely the state of oregon did not receive a copy. Now they won’t accept it. They are requiring it to be transmitted from the Federal Motor Carriers.

Procrastinating your medical exams will lead to unnecessary suspensions of your CDL and loss of pay when you can’t work.

Do you have a small or large fleet of drivers? Would it be easier if all medical cards expired on the same day? Wouldn’t that be easier for your office manager/Safety compliance department to keep track of?

We offer onsite DOT Physicals and urine drug screen collections. We are wanting to increase our onsite services. These can be paid by the company (if your company pays for them) or by the drivers.

Feel free to reach out ti discuss this service more.
